Domestic Abuse

At Mackenzie Jones we appreciate that anyone can be affected by domestic abuse and we also acknowledge that this does not always involve physical abuse and that emotional abuse can be just as concerning and detrimental to a person.

We are therefore able to provide advice and support to our clients who may be thinking of making an application at court. We are able to assist you with making applications for both non-molestation and occupation orders. 

If you are suffering domestic abuse then we would advise that you contact the police in order to ensure that you are protected. However as well as criminal sanctions, if you were to apply for a non-molestation order this would prevent anyone from harassing you and using or threatening violence.

The occupation order is an order that would stipulate who is to occupy the family home and is an order that would protect you by preventing the necessary person from entering the property.
